The first and only time I saw this house was when I photographed it in 2006. I never would have found it if my brother hadn't offered to drive me to various locations to take photos for the book I was working on. We had my dad's truck and were able to drive up the Loch Ban Road in Deepdale, Cape Breton Island. I couldn't jump out of the truck fast enough when I saw this house. It was May. Spring in Cape Breton. The property was calm with a gorgeous view of the ocean. Sadly, I don't know think this house is still standing. There are remnants.

Interesting notes:
1. This photo was taken with film.
2. One of my favourite Cape Breton artists, Virginia McCoy, has painted this house from the front.
3. This house was also featured in Frank MacDonald's book

Image is printed on archival paper. The paper is a 308 g weight, cotton rag paper by Hahnemuhle.
