Description

This adorable skirt merges the gap between preppy and trendy. It features three inverted box pleats, a flat-fronted waistband with elasticized back, and a sweet removable bow for easy washing. Because this pattern is sewn using your own body measurements, it can be made for children, teens, and women. Cover model is a size 10 (girls), for reference.

SUGGESTED FABRICS: Quilting cotton, shirting, lightweight denim, satin, silk, twill, and chambray. Use Patty Young’s fabric collections for a modern and eclectic look.

FABRIC REQUIREMENTS: (based on 44"/45"-wide fabrics)
Since this skirt is made to size, the fabric quantities will vary greatly depending on your body measurements and how long you want the skirt. Plan on using about 3/4 yard for sizes 12M - 5T, 1 yard for sizes 6 - 10 and 1.5 or more yards for larger sizes. Shorter skirts may use less fabric. For the Bow, you'll need 4" (linear) or 1/8 yard of fabric for all sizes.

NOTIONS:
• 3/4" wide Non-roll Elastic (enough for half of your waist)
• Metal Pin Back
• Measuring, turning and cutting tools
• Sewing machine
• Coordinating thread

*********
NOTE: This is a downloadable PDF pattern, NOT A PAPER PATTERN. Your pattern can be opened with Adobe Reader and will print on standard letter-size paper (8.5" x 11"). There are 3 pages total in this document, and NO pattern pieces to print.
