Made by the Edmilton Company in Milwaukee, this is a Sew Tidy spool or thread holder. It is from the 1920's - 1930's. With two handles on the top, it can easily be carried. It has space for 21 spools of thread. The old spools of thread in the pictures came with it so will also be sent. When folded, it stands sturdily on its own. The hardware and handles are still securely fastened. Although a bit worn, the original label is still attached. There is a partial decoration on each side of flowers.

When folded it measures approximately 31" X 15" X 4 1/2".

Although I see no evidence that the outside panels have been cut off, I believe they have been since the flower decorations are not whole. I believe at one time they should have gone all the way up to the top frame. Because of its age, it is showing some wear and has some small chips in the wood and what appears to be white paint on the panels.

For the sewer who loves vintage, this is perfect!
