This watch belonged to my grand mother, and as far as I know has sat in a drawer since she passed away in the early 1950s. The serial # in the 21 millions is the basis for the 1917 manufacture date. I was amazed to wind the watch just a little bit, and it ran for several hours keeping pretty good time. I think the case is solid 14 kt gold as the legend on the inside back case does not give any fractions, or mention plating, or filled. Please verify this for yourself by checking the picture. The crystal is a uniform yellow color.
