Description

BOGO is a fabric necklace inspired to Malian traditions.

At the bottom of a long braided lace there's a squared and quilted fragment of bogolan fabric.

The bogolan is a hand woven traditional cotton fabric, natural dyed in dark brown, white, black and ochre colors.

I found the raw material to create BOGO it in Djenne's market, Mali.

Legth: 44 cm from top to beads included.
Central bogolan: 8 x 12 cm.

BOGO's maintenance:
I send it with a hand stitched, cotton fabric cover.
Please note that the bogolan fabric is natural dyed, try not to wash it!
When washing is needed, I suggest you to wash only the long cotton strings.
If you'll need to wash it strictly, use a first long bath in wine vinegar to fix the colors, and then hand wash carefully with cold water and neutral soap.
In any case, the washing will make colors loose force.
