Merde in France: Learn French the Pop Culture Way - a small press book.
I wrote and illustrated this small press book myself. It’s A5 size, 36 pages including the cover and it’s saddle stitched.
The cover is 300gsm silk and the 32 inner pages are 170gsm uncoated. It’s black/white throughout. All pictures were hand pencilled and then inked in black ink.
This was my first small press book. Merde in France is a teach yourself French book, which uses my drawings of pop culture icons to teach you French words and phrases. A few of them are rude, so with some “blue” language it's not a book that's suitable for children.
This. Is the second printing of this book. It costs £5 plus p&p. If you have any questions about it, please get in touch.
There are 28 illustrations over 32 pages - illustrations include Nicolas Cage, the electronic band Suicide, Ron Mael from Sparks, Mama Cass, Bez from the Happy Mondays, comic book artist Chris Ware, plus many more.
I have other illustrated small press books available in my Etsy store, so do check those out if you like the films of Nicolas Cage or want to read my amusing take on Morrissey’s autobiography. You can follow me on Twitter @Tinynoggin.

50 shop reviews5 out of 5 stars
Some pages made me smile, some laugh out loud and one soil my pants. After finishing it I went into a coffee shop and boldly ordered a café and a croissant in French and I swear it was fluent and accent-free. 5 stars!
