These birdhouses are very unique and are made from recycled materials. The roof is made from old roof slate from an old barn. The front and back of these birdhouses are made out of a recycled cross country skis. The handles and bird perches are made from recycled ski poles. We even use recycled wood when we can.

Great workmanship! Unfortunately, the birdhouse arrived damaged from shipping. I decided to remedy the dislodged slate tile roof myself as the product would be too difficult to ship. Would recommend a larger box for shipping with adequate cushion. Otherwise, looking forward to adding it to the gardens.

Frame arrived with one of the two frame glasses shattered, unfortunately. Glass pieces throughout the packing. I was advised to go to a dollar store and buy another frame to replace the glass with offer of $50 refund. I'm not sure what they should do to make sure the glass doesn't break...maybe put the glass in a separate packing? I don't know, but it was a mess when I opened the package. Be careful when opening the packing if you buy this.

I absolutely love this art! I bought it for my boyfriends birthday but was too late to order it custom, so the kind folks at Frame It In Skis shipped a premade frame for me. Shipping was faster than expected, and nothing was damaged. The frame is beautiful and such a wonderful gift.
