These jackets are hand sewn by myself in order to keep pittie's and other short fur breeds warm during the cold months. I started sewing my own coats once it became a problem trying to fit my pittie Montey into ones I purchased from pet stores. I needed something more adjustable and comfortable for him.

So after his first coat was made and fitted I started finding that other pittie moms and dads were interested in coats for their very own pits! So here I am!

I purchase my fleece from Joann's, there are many options available besides just solid colors. This makes for a unique jacket with a snuggly fit. The front and tummy strap both come with reinforced velcro to not only get a custom fit but also so your dog can grow into them. All the pits in our family LOVE their jackets and will wear them non stop for days until we force them to take them off to be washed. These jackets wash and wear well and last for years!

You will need to give us all the following information for your CUSTOM PittieCoat :

CHEST MEASUREMENT: Measure the circumference of the widest part of the rib cage.
NECK MEASUREMENT: Measure the circumference of the neck, right below where the collar rides.
LENGTH: Measure from between the shoulder blades to the base of the tail.

How to order:


Select the closest size of your dogs length, always choose the next largest size (I.E. If your dogs length measures at 12" choose the SMALL size.)

EXTRA SMALL:

Length up to 10"

SMALL:

Length up to 15"

MEDIUM:

Length up to 20"

LARGE:

Length up to 25"

EXTRA LARGE:*

Length up to 30"

EXTRA EXTRA LARGE:*

Length up to 42"

*Please note that lengths this long may require a mid seam in the fabric, thus interrupting the pattern. Though on most prints this will look fine, not all will work.

Include in the "order comments" which patterns from Joann's you would like and also what backing color you prefer (Dark colors work better at hiding dirt and fur!). Please give us three choices of your favorite patterns because sometimes patterns get discontinued but are still listed.

**Due to the current Pandemic, fabric choices are getting increasingly more difficult to find, please give us 5-6 choices. As always we strive to make your order exactly what you want, so we will do our absolute best to purchase your first choices of pattern.

In order to keep material costs down and our PittieCoats affordable, please select a fleece pattern in the $7.00 - $8.00 per yard range. Let us know though if you absolutely have your heart set on something!

Lastly, because we believe that pit bulls are misunderstood and VERY underestimated in the capacity of their hearts, we will promise to use our proceeds to work with all rescues.
