Concerts of the Romantic Era - Time Life Record Set - Vintage Vinyl Record Collection ranging from Berlioz to Verdi, the period 1800-1850.

This is a five record 33 1/3 RPM set which appears to have never been taken out of the box. It includes a detailed Listening Guide giving the background to each piece and suggestions as to what to listen for in the piece for more enjoyment. Release date according to the literature included was 1967.

Each of the five records is meant to represent a concert of the period.
Sides 1&2 - Schumann's Overture to Manfred, and Mendelssohn's Scotch Symphony.
Sides 3&4 - Chopin's Piano Sonata No. 3 and Berlioz' Les Nuits D'ete (Summer Nights)
Sides 5&6 - Schumann's Cello Concerto and Berlioz' the Damnation of Faust and Les Trovens (Royal Hunt and Storm.
Sides 7&8 - Liszt Selections from Annees de pelerinage, and Mendelssohn Octet for Strings
Sides 9&10 - Verdi's Requiem Mass: Dies Irae, Agnus Dei, Lux aeterna
