Cave Toucan

Original Lost Cave Painting of Saint Paul

The Cave Toucan is 22x33 and framed in red. I imagine and excavate "cave paintings" from the comfort of my studio, which, unlike real caves, is remarkably free of rats and bats, and is unlikely to cave in or cause me to be arrested for trespass. Each "cave painting" is made on tinted gesso with the creature painted with watercolor and the work sealed with archival spray.

I have made many cave paintings, including a 5x10-foot installation at the 2014 WARM (Women's Art Resources of Minnesota) Mentor-Protege Show.
