Item details

Metal, Paper

Elegant yet down-to-earth, this upcycled lamp is made from a teal and gold reproduction flour tin and a paper shade that I decorated with a motif taken from the tin.

The tin has two designs on different sides (see photos). The shade is off white with a metallic bronze border decoupaged with a matte finish. With the bulb turned on the shade has a more textured appearance, and color will vary depending on the type and strength of bulb you use. A CFL bulb may give a slightly greenish tinge, which complements the tin (photo 2), while an incandescent will lend a warmer tone (photo 5).

- 5 1/2" square footprint.
- 17" tall to top of shade.
- On/off switch on socket.
- Takes a standard base bulb, up to 60 watts for incandescent.
- Shade sits on the socket and is held in place by a retaining ring.
- Base is weighted for stability and has rubbery feet to protect table top.
