After searching for a pilot hat pattern and not finding one that was the exact fit that I wanted, I decided to draw up my own. I have finally come up with a version that I love that covers the child's eyebrows to their neck. Of course, with all babies head sizes and shapes being different, I have tested this pattern on a lot of babies, and found that it does a full coverage on a lot of them.

This is a pattern anyone can sew.
Sizes included are:

NB
0-3 month
3-6 month
6-12 month
12-18 month
18-36 month

Please do not share the file, but selling of hats made from this pattern is encouraged!
(I would love to see pictures of the hats you make!!) If selling online, I would appreciate if you source this pattern to little lapsi


Need:
sewing machine (serger/coverstitch optional)
thread/needle
2-way or 4-way knit (half yard for largest size will get you 2-3 hats)
ribbing/rib knit

NB. up to 12.25 inches
0-3. to about 14 inches
3-6. to about 16 inches
6-12. 16-17.5
12-18 17.5- 19inches
18+. 19-21

Thank you, thank you, thank you! This is exactly what we needed, I had another pattern that worked for a while but as he got older we needed something that really framed his face so he couldnt get to his hearing aids. Super easy to understand instructions A++++
