Norse mythology says that Odin the All-Father hung upside down on the World Tree for nine days. Eventually, he began to see symbols in the water beneath him -- he pulled them forth and they became the runes used for writing and fortune telling.

Twenty-four traditional runes with one blank. The blank rune is a more modern addition, but I do my casting with Wyrd included.

This particular set of runes is made from a dazzling turquoise Bullseye glass, kiln fused and annealed. Each symbol was carefully carved using a Dremel tool.

Each piece measures approximately 3/4 inch long and 5/8 inch wide (2cm long/1.5cm wide). Each glass piece is a little bit different from the others, making this rune set a one of a kind (OOAK). I could do another set in the same color glass, but it wouldn't be identical to this one.

Your purchase comes with a printed list of the runes and their meanings and a PDF with four different types of rune castings to get you started.

Your purchase does NOT include any special bag for your runes. I'm not much of a seamstress, but there are LOTS of awesome Etsy sellers who do make rune bags.
