Each of these blue agate slabs has a natural geode opening. These are real agate geode slices, but like all blue agate of this color they have been dyed.

The size of these blue geode slices ranges from 2.5"-3.5". Round slices will be on the shorter end of that size range, and oblong slices will be on the longer end of the range. This item is not able to be used as a coaster. Any orders for this item that instruct me in the "note to seller" to choose coaster size slices will unfortunately have to be canceled and refunded.

Thee geode slabs are available in both round and oblong shapes. You will receive a randomly selected piece, although I may be able to accommodate some requests. For example, if you have a preference such as round shape or dark blue color I will try fulfill your request.

These agate slices are great for crafts and look beautiful framed.

Agate is a variety of silica also sometimes known as “banded chalcedony.” It is most often formed as nodules in volcanic rock. A vapor vesicle in the rock fills in over time with layers of chalcedony and crystalline quartz. When the cavity does not fill in completely there will be a geode center with the crystal points directed toward the interior of the specimen. The stone was named after the river Achates (now known as Dirillo and located in modern day Sicily) by the Greek naturalist Theophrastus. Agate has a long history of use for artistic and decorative purposes.

This item is a commercial craft supply and was manufactured in Brazil. All agate and geode products in my online store are GENUINE Brazilian agate from the Rio Grande do Sol region of Brazil. Natural colors are browns and grays. Blue, pink, purple, green and teal colors are dyed. Please let me know if you have any questions about the stones!

Beautiful and arrived in perfect condition. I've searched everywhere for affordable geode slices to replicate some wall art I saw and these turned out perfect! I just ordered some more to finish up my project.

Beautiful and, I'm glad to say, not tiny! I expected them to be way smaller, since so many others turned out that way based on reviews, but these look great hanging from a little mobile I made!
