Description

Have you ever wondered what it must have been like to be a little girl during the Colonial Era? Living in the Schoharie Valley it is quite easy to see how life must have been during that era in Americas history. Our area is home to many areas rich in our colonial past including: the Old Stone Fort where they still hold reinactments every year, Vrooman's Nose with its winding paths of long ago, Timothy Murphy Trail, the mighty Schoharie Creek the Indians used to travel the Schoharie Valley flows through our area, the old wooden bridge that colonial travelers crossed while making their journey to the county seat still sits at the edge of town reminding us of life of long ago.

This little girl of long ago has lovely dark brown wavy hair tied at each side of her head with a bright red ribbon bow. Standing approximately 16 1/2 inches in height, she can also sit in a chair and her arms can be positioned to the front or back of her body.

This lovely collectors doll is made from my own pattern designed in 1998 and handcrafted from light colored muslin and soft stuffed with polyfil. After making this doll and two others, the snowball lady and the gingerbread girl also available at my shop, I crafted several other parts for additional dolls and set them away for the past several years. Recently I came across the container they were stored in and I decided they should be offered to collectors who would enjoy placing them in their homes on display, instead of keeping them tucked away as I have for many years.
