An excellent hostess gift, french bistro chic, a lovely vintage water carafe.

Lovely vintage glass bottle, carafe, wine or water?? you could use this for many things..you know better than me how nice it would look on your table or sideboard!

These are super popular at the moment in vintage and antique magazines, home shows, homewares websites etc...

Carafes like this were not available to buy in stores, being promotional material given by liquor companies to bistros and cafés. It would make an original present for the francophile in your life.

A note on pastis: If the south of France had an official drink, this would be it, ( have you seen or read a year in provence!?) One of the images that most come to mind when you talk of the south is of men playing petanque whilst imbibing this liquor.
It's an anise-flavored drink served diluted with water, so that the clear yellow liquid that pours from the bottle becomes a milky opaque yellow in the glass. YUmmy!

It's quite heavy glass and in perfect condition.... SNAP IT UP!

....PLEASE NOTE: We use the economic SHIPPING from France as this makes it as cheap as possible for you, however if you'd prefer a faster postage with a tracking number please let me know and i'll adjust the shipping..thank you
