Item details

When I walk into my kitchen my eye is often caught by the golden glow coming from the herbs on my shelf and it's always Calendula (Marigold or Mary's Gold) that I'm noticing. Calendula has been used as a food, healthful herb, bodycare ingredient, and as a very strong yellow dye for generations. You could also enjoy its golden glow in potpourri, decorate your soaps or add it to bath salts, perhaps with other herbs and flowers, just for its decorative effect.

But I know this herb best infused in jojoba oil or other massage oil for its famous skin-soothing effects. And that's very easy to do. Pack a jar with Calendula, add oil, shake it up and put it in a cool dark place for several weeks. Shake it every few days. Strain the infused oil through cheesecloth, squeezing it well to retain every drop, and then have fun! Use it as a face or bodycare oil or add it to your favorite skin cream recipe.

You can also brew up a pot of Calendula tea and add that to your bodycare products, add it to your bath water, use it for a hair rinse, etc.

Oh yeah, and you can drink it! It has a number of healing benefits and looks really beautiful in herb tea blends.

This listing is for 1 oz. I sell it by weight because Calendula is VERY fluffy. It is impossible to accurately measure it by the cup.

If you have a Ragweed allergy, please be cautious about using this herb.
