Red Mushroom Fairy House Tooth Fairy House Blue Dutch Door Miniature Magic Door Art Acrylic Painting on Wood
Materials: wood, acrylic paint, museum putty
Mushroom fairy house is hand painted and signed on back, beautifully rendered. This is actually an acrylic painting on wood, a piece of art, no two are exactly alike, could be a slight variation. Notice how the red mushroom is lighter on the left and darker on the right to give it a rounded effect and the shadow line also adds to the realistic rendering. The little blue door is a Dutch door, top and bottom both have painted hinges and a little touch of gold paint highlights the glass window.
This listing is for one mushroom house as shown in first photo.
Second photo is an adorable mushroom windmill house, listing:

This is made and hand painted by my Dutch husband, Jan Kohler, first name is pronounced yan, that’s Dutch for John. He has been an architectural illustrator since 1986. Now that I’m a very grown up girl (and a grandma) he is making doors so little people know they are welcome in our home. You can decide if you want to welcome fairies, elves, gnomes or brownies or you may just appreciate architecture and hand painted doors.

Fairies and other little people are said to bring good luck and are magical though sometimes mischievous. I think they also bring us happiness and help us make our wishes come true if we just believe.
When I was a little girl, many years ago, my parents and sister and two baby brothers lived in a tiny house three miles to the village and we had no electricity or running water in the Ohio valley that is now a part of The Edge of Appalachia Preserve. It was a magical few months where we climbed the cherry tree, followed the creek, danced in the meadow, played make believe with the woodland animals and chased fire flies in the evening.
One rainy day we pressed our noses to the window and complained that we couldn’t go out to play. Mother said, “Look, watch closely and you can see the rain drops dance like little fairy ballerinas.” Her suggestion was all it took to imagine fairies fluttering, dancing and twirling gracefully with raindrops rolling off their arms and legs.
My hubby’s adorable doors now transport me to a time never forgotten.

My son pick his out and it's the best thing ever. The tooth fairy got to use it last night!!!
I did have a question in regards to a slight personalization and seller responded quickly and met my request w/o issue. The craftsmanship and painting are AMAZING on this elf door! it's definitely unique compared to most that are found on Etsy. The size is good ( it's difficult to find a tall door ). I'd prefer a taller door myself but not knocking this one ( just personal preference ). Item shipped fast and secure! Thank you for this wonderful door! My kids ♥️ it!
I love it. Beautiful. It took my breath away when I saw it. Thank you. It will brighten my room. I plan to collect them all.
