Fish Can (2011) by Art Grafts

An aluminium print in our unique 'virtual' frame designed by the artist and exclusive to ART + GRAFT Gallery Editions.

'Fish Can' is a factory-fresh fish supper for the digital age which took nearly twenty years to prepare!

The picture of the sardine can was taken on good, old-fashioned film in the UK in the early nineties and the rather sad looking fish was 'captured' digitally in Thailand in 2011.

The two images were happily married in a computer in the same year and are still together.

The 'virtual' frame looks exactly as it appears in the listing photographs - including all the 'reflections', 'highlights' and the 'shadows'. The image and its designer frame are a single sheet of aluminium - night or day this piece is always displayed in perfect lighting conditions!

The whole image (including the virtual frame) is printed directly onto a sheet of 3mm thick aluminum using Epson's K3 archival pigment inks. The ink is bonded onto the metal. There is no paper involved. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet and it's sleek, modern lines give an added depth to this vibrant, contemporary image.

The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Very Stylish!

Aluminium prints are extremely durable. They're lightweight. They won't bend, and they're water resistant!

Ships worldwide from USA/Europe (depending on your location) and arrives 'ready-to-hang' with hanging wire, mounting hooks and screws included.
