February 1947 calendar pinup advertisement for Harold M. Franklin, a Kansas City insurance company. Earl Moran, the pinup artist, was well known for his calendar art and portraits of movie stars like Betty Grable and Marilyn Monroe. The pinup of a sexy red head frightened by a spider is referencing the Mother Goose rhyme, Little Miss Muffet. Applying wartime pinup art to postwar uncertainties, the advertisement assures anxious men: "STARTLING SATISFACTION...will be yours if you leave all insurance problems to HAROLD M. FRANKLIN INS. AGENCY." Dimensions: 3.75" x 9"
