Pretty please use the 'free tester' link below (that's been there since 2015) to 'try before you buy' rather than buying the template and have it not work on your system and then leaving me a sad unhappy review that I don't see for months because my kids are teenagers and I am not making cloth books anymore but I've left the templates up here for everyone else to enjoy :)

This is a simple version of the template I use to design all my cloth books for babies that you see for sale in my Etsy shop. You can use this template to design a fat quarter book panel. You will need "MICROSOFT PUBLISHER 2010" version 14.0.6 or newer to read this file.

Once you have downloaded this publisher (.pub) file:

- Drag & drop images into each page.
- (Photos are automatically resized/cropped)
- Save the document as a PNG image at resolution 150dpi.
- Upload image to Spoonflower.com
- Order your fat quarter on your choice of fabric.
- The price for Spoonflower's combed cotton fat quarter is around $10.

It is really easy to drag & drop the photos you want into this publisher template. I dropped a bunch of my own photos in a copy of the template as an example (see above). It took me about ten minutes. It would have taken five minutes but I had too many photos to choose from! (And then I was inspired and had to make another one :))

Page 5&6 is the centre spread. Put in two photos that look great together or put the same image into both pages and use publisher's crop/resizing tools to adjust so that the left half of the image shows on page 5 and the right half shows on page 6.

Something to also bear in mind when adding your photos to each page is a 1/4 inch seam allowance (not marked on the template). So don't have faces/eyes or important details too close to the edge of your photos or you might find them hidden in the seam when you come to sewing your cloth book.

You will need "Microsoft Publisher 2010" version 14.0.6 or newer to read the publisher file. The download also includes a PNG image file at the correct resolution which you could use instead if you do not have publisher. Just add your photos to the pages using any image program, resize them to fit, then save and upload to Spoonflower.

The book panel makes a cloth book about 4.25" wide x 5.25" high (11cm wide x 13cm high).
