Handmade dinosaur bone wedding ring accented by sparkling white sapphires. Red dinosaur bone inlay surrounds three round brilliant cut white sapphires in this unique wedding band. The three white sapphires total .15 carats. The dinosaur bone in this ring is a bright red with black veining. This fossilized dinosaur gem bone came from the Morrison Formation in the Colorado Plateau and was a living dinosaur during the Jurassic Period around 144 to 208 million years ago. Only a small percentage of the dinosaur bone found is highly agatized like this red bone. The ring measures 8.5mm wide at the top and tapers toward the bottom. This dinosaur bone ring will be made to order in your size in 3 to 6 weeks. A his and hers wedding set is available as well as a his/his or hers/hers ring combination. Other metal choices include Continuum silver (no tarnish), 316L stainless steel or 14k yellow or white gold. See the "custom section" of my shop for details and information.

Sapphire is a precious gemstone that occurs in a variety of colors. Sapphire and ruby are both corundum, composed essentially of aluminum oxide (Al2O3). Corundum is the hardest of all gemstones, following diamond, with a hardness of nine. The most common colors found in nature are red (Ruby) and blue (Sapphire). The color is caused by traces of metallic oxide impurities such as chromium, iron or titanium. In rare cases, white sapphire is found in nature. If pure, all corundum (Sapphire) would be colorless.

**I recommend upgrading to Continuum sterling silver for all wedding ring or heavy wear jewelry. It will be much more durable than standard sterling silver and should extend the life of your jewelry. Read more about this great new metal option here:

The paper finger sizers you might find on the internet and print out are not accurate so please do not use them. Tracing the inside of the ring and measuring it and measuring around your finger with a string are not accurate either. We have experimented with these methods and found that they vary from a 1/4 size to a full size in error. Please visit a local jeweler (or two) and get your finger sized properly. You should use a sizer that is similar in width to the ring you intend to purchase. The millimeter width of our rings should be included in the description.No guessing!

We welcome custom and personalized orders. Keep in mind that refunds are only allowed on stock items (not made to order or special order rings) within 14 days of your receipt of the item. Please call or email us within the 14 days and notify us of your intention to return the stock item. Stock items returned AFTER 14 days must be in new condition and will receive a shop credit only.

Complex custom orders may require more than our standard 4 to 6 week production time so please plan accordingly. All custom orders require payment in full prior to beginning any work.

Do not dip in tarnish remover.

Do not put in an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner.

Consider removing your jewelry before swimming or getting in hot tub.

Remove your jewelry before any activity that may be rough on it such as gardening, rock climbing, weight lifting, etc.

If you accidentally damage the inlay we can drill out the damaged piece of inlay and replace it with a matching stone for a reasonable fee.

To clean the center gemstone or gemstones, brush the stones with an old toothbrush and soft soap from the top and bottom until all the residue is removed.

Return to us for refinishing once the inlay stones lose their polish.

Yes, all of our rings are available in 14k white or yellow gold. We also can make your ring in platinum. Most of our rings can be made in 316L stainless steel if you are looking for maximum durability. Contact us with your ring size for a price quote in any of these upgraded metals. In times of extreme metal price volatility, price quotes may only be good for day of inquiry.

Dinosaur bone is fairly durable and has a hardness ranging for 6.5 to 7 on the Moh's scale. Although dinosaur bone is pretty hard as far as inlay stone options go, it is not indestructible and will require some special care to keep it looking good. We highly recommend removing your dinosaur bone ring before any activities that might damage the ring. Return your bone ring to us for refinishing when the stones lose their polish and start looking worn or dull. If you happen to have an accident and break a stone, we can drill it out and replace it with a matching one for a reasonable charge.

The additional charge for large sizes is to cover the additional cost of the metal and the time required to build up the wax model to the larger size. We can make some ring styles up to size 16. Others will require a new master wax being carved to be scaled up.
