Rare Blue Carpenter Bees (Xylocopa caerulea) from Java. Probably the only blue bee, and only the females are really blue (these are females). Besides the fuzzy grey-blue head, the abdomen is black and the wings have a slightly metallic nature, with purple shine in the right light. They measure about 25mm tall and the wingspan is about 40-50mm. This listing is for one bee.
They are packaged as you see here, with the wings already spread out. All you'll need to do is open the package (carefully!) and glue into your project.

Second Quality (A2): a few came in this batch that look a bit "dirty" or oily. I think it'll clean off easily after you open the packages, but I can't sell them as A quality like this. Worst case, you have to rub the bodies with a little alcohol to take off the oil. Get them for $3 off if you choose this A2 quality.

Please contact me regarding this. I do offer wholesale discounts for orders of unmounted insects over $100. The discount is 20% and it applies towards unmounted insects only. This would include pretty much everything in my shop except jewelry and spread butterflies. Papered or laminated butterflies are applicable towards the discount. If your shopping cart is full of $100 or more of unmounted insects only, please contact me for the 20% off coupon code.
