This is our Most Popular Design !! The Peggy is upcycled* using 3 dress shirts (instead of flat fold fabric). With upcycling, there is no need to print, cut out and tape together PATTERN PIECES. The starting materials are 3D garments, so instead the "pattern" is instructions and illustrations that define exactly what and where to cut (disassemble) and how to reassemble the pieces. You are purchasing a set of instructions that you print on 8.5" by 11" paper which can be put in a binder for future ease of reference.

The PEGGY BLOUSE silhouette works well with ALL FIGURE TYPES and is particularly flattering on pear shaped ladies; it is self-adjusting to individual body curves and heights. The overall effect is feminine, comfortable, and confident. 3 dress shirts are needed, preferably “all men's” or “all women's” so the buttons are aligned on the same side. These 3 shirts form the color-blocking on the front of the blouse so tips are provided on choosing color and pattern combinations. From these shirts, you will create a beautiful, unique Peggy Blouse CUSTOMIZED to your figure.

ALL SIZES ARE INCLUDED in that the size/fit of the finished garment is determined by the size of the shirt used for the upper torso, the other parts are self-scaling. ANYONE, any size, who can find a dress shirt that fits the way they like across the shoulders and bust can successfully fit this pattern. This pattern is intended to be semi-fitted in the upper bodice, and very loose at the hips. For larger busts, dart and pleat instructions are provided to customize the fit. Select a base shirt that fits the way you like at the bust, back and upper arms. If the bodice shirt is tight at the hips, this is not a problem; as ease is added later.

The sewing is straightforward piece assembly, mostly using topstitching. All of the tough parts like the collar, collar band, plackets, buttonholes are already sewn on the starting garments, making your job easier! The customization is achieved by picking the right size starting garment and making choices about where to cut by looking at the garment fit on your own body.

Sewers with experience with mixing colors and patterns will fulfill their artistic dreams, but those just learning these skills will find they enjoy the challenge and growth to their creativity. !! Have Fun !!
