This adjustable plastic ring sizer fits on your finger like a belt. It comes with easy to read instructions so that you and I are confident about the size you need when you make your order.

You will receive $3.00 off (the full price of this sizer) your next ring order from me.

--> For best results, measure 3-4 times at different times of the day. Fingers swell and contract throughout the day depending on if you're hot or cold.

--> The sizer should fit over your knuckle comfortably but should not fall off. You'll want it to be snug enough but not so tight that it's uncomfortable. Think of it like measuring how you want the ring to fit--not how 'big' your finger is.

--> Measures whole and half US sizes 1-17. Please note I can make the rings in quarter sizes, too.



MORE TIPS FOR SIZING SUCCESS:

1. When the sizer is on the base of the finger where a ring goes, tighten the sizer as tight as it will go and make note of that size.

2. When slipping the sizer over the knuckle as if taking it off, the sizer might stretch or open up a bit, so pay very close attention to just how much and make note of that.

3. Leave the sizer at that largest size (probably the 'over the knuckle' size) and see if you can get it on your finger again without further stretching open or closing the sizer.

4. Make note of how it feels at the base of your finger. Is it way too loose? Is it way too tight? Is it between a whole size and a half size (this means you need a quarter size).

5. Measure a few times during the day. Fingers swell and contract throughout the day, so look for an average size that works at all times.

*All things being said, as personal example, I cannot get my wedding rings off first thing in the morning because my hands are swollen. And when I am very, very cold, my wedding rings slide around the base of my finger--but not to the point where they would easily fall off. You're looking for your best 'average' size.

*If all else fails and you still do not feel confident with the size you need, please know you can walk into any jewelry store and they will size you for free. Make sure they size you with a sizer that has a similar band width as the ring you intend to purchase (i.e. 6mm band vs. 3mm band).

*An experienced and reputable jeweler will be able to size any ring, including my rings with 'alternative' stones in them.

Packages shipped internationally must go through your country's customs. Occasionally packages are delayed in customs for periods of several weeks. Unfortunately, there is nothing I nor the US Postal Service can do about this. Therefore, I can't guarantee any specific arrival date when shipping internationally.

My international shipping fee does not include insurance. I do not give refunds or exchanges on international orders that are not shipped with insurance and tracking--this is a service you must arrange with me prior to purchase.

I promise I'm working hard to get your order out as soon as I can and will always meet the deadline.

If you are wondering when your order will ship, click on 'You' at the top right of your etsy home page, then select 'Purchases and Reviews'. Once you find your order from my shop it will tell you the expected ship date. If I expect to ship out sooner than this date I will notify you. Occasionally I ship out before this date depending on my current workload, but in general please expect the full lead time for me to hand make your item. Q. I need this faster than your lead time, can you rush the order?
A. Yes!

Orders under $500 can be divided into two payments, a 50% non-refundable down payment will initiate the order, and a 50% remaining balance + shipping due upon completion of the item and before it is sent to you. Orders over $500 can be divided into 3 and sometimes 4 payments depending on the timeline. I will create a 'custom listing' for you here on etsy and email you the link to it for each payment.

Q. Can you work with my stone or melt down my old jewelry?

CUSTOM: Small adjustments to existing designs can be easily made. Perhaps you'd like to have a different metal or swap out a gemstone or make just a small change to something I already make.

BESPOKE: If your idea is a little more complicated than that, let's schedule an appointment either in person in my design studio in Pacific Grove, CA or over the phone or FaceTime. This type of work is much too complicated over email! I love taking on custom work that is meaningful, personal, and highly functional. If you have an idea like this in mind and would like to hire me to make it for you, please contact me with your vision and we'll go from there!

To start the conversation, please contact me and provide me with some information about your custom design ideas. I require a $200 non-refundable Consultation & Design Deposit which will go to the final price of the custom/bespoke piece. Each package contains an informational card which explains the Do's and Don'ts of caring for your new handcrafted jewelry, but here is some pre-purchase info:

With normal wear and exposure to air, sterling silver will eventually tarnish. This is not indicative of poor quality but the nature of the alloy. Simply clean with a polishing cloth and voila--it's just like new.

Store your jewelry in a clean, dry place (i.e. not the bathroom).

Remove your rings before washing your hands, going swimming, gardening, cleaning, applying lotions or hairsprays, moving heavy objects, etc.

Softer stones (like pearl, opal, turquoise) should never be put in an ultrasonic cleaner.

Prongs and settings should be periodically checked by your local jeweler.

-----------------CHANGING YOUR ORDER:

Changes to your order, especially the size of a ring after purchase may incur additional fees. I create my pieces one by one, and process them in the order they were received. If I've already started that process with your order I then have to either size the ring by cutting it open, removing or adding material, soldering it back closed, and cleaning up the joint, a process that is further complicated if stones have already been set. In some cases I have to re-make the ring entirely. If you need to change the size of your ring please contact me right away and we'll see what we can do.

---------------------ENGAGEMENT RINGS, STONES, ADDITIONAL INFO:

Please do your research when purchasing engagement rings intended for every day wear and align that knowledge with your (or her) lifestyle. Diamonds and gold are traditionally used because a diamond is the hardest stone you can buy and gold is the toughest metal you can wear. I offer alternatives to diamonds and gold because not everyone can afford those luxuries and some women don't want them! These alternatives come with different care methods that I cannot be held responsible for. So, please do your research!

I take great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of my work. That being said, my pieces are not indestructible and, like any piece of handcrafted fine jewelry, care must be taken to maintain the condition of your piece. Please follow common sense guidelines as well as the informational card included in your package to keep your jewelry looking its best. If you ever have any questions please don't hesitate to ask!

Although unlikely, if for any reason your item requires repair that is due to a mistake on my part in the first year after purchase, I am happy and eager to fix it for you free of charge.

-----------------RING SIZING:

--I recommend having your finger sized by a reputable and professional jeweler with a sizer that is the same or very similar to the width of the ring you intend to purchase. If you don't know your size, please know that you can walk in to any jewelry store and they will size you FOR FREE and (most likely) with a smile on their face.

--DO NOT USE sizers printed off the internet or strings. These are almost always incorrect!

--I offer a plastic re-usable sizer in my shop that is 4mm wide and is in general fairly accurate. I also give a full discount for the sizer off your next ring purchase with me. --I cannot emphasize enough that it's always better to get the ring in the correct size the first time around.

----------------HOW TO FIND OUT SOMEONE'S RING SIZE:

*Woman's AVERAGE ring finger size is a 6 1/2. If you don't know her size this is a fairly good bet and keep in mind most rings can be sized by a professional jeweler*

I really don't have any secrets to figuring out someone's ring size other than perhaps swiping a ring they often wear (on the finger you plan on putting the new ring on), taking it to your local jeweler to have it sized, and then replacing it before they notice. And my best advice if you don't know their size? Just ask. People are funny, you may think you know what they want but if you asked you might be surprised at what they say. Communication is key to a happy relationship and thus a happy marriage, so start early and see what she/he says! I bet you'll find out a lot more than what their size is, and you'll be happy you did.

------------------WEDDING TIMELINE:

I strongly recommend ordering your wedding rings AT LEAST 3 months before your wedding date to ensure you have plenty of time with them in case they need re-sized or they get delayed during shipping.

Although unlikely, if for any reason your item requires repair that is due to a mistake on my part in the first year after purchase, I am happy and eager to fix it for you free of charge.

-----------------RING SIZING:

--I recommend having your finger sized by a reputable and professional jeweler with a sizer that is the same or very similar to the width of the ring you intend to purchase. If you don't know your size, please know that you can walk in to any jewelry store and they will size you FOR FREE and (most likely) with a smile on their face.

--DO NOT USE sizers printed off the internet or strings. These are almost always incorrect!

--I offer a plastic re-usable sizer in my shop that is 4mm wide and is in general fairly accurate. I also give a full discount for the sizer off your next ring purchase with me. --I cannot emphasize enough that it's always better to get the ring in the correct size the first time around.

----------------HOW TO FIND OUT SOMEONE'S RING SIZE:

*Woman's AVERAGE ring finger size is a 6 1/2. If you don't know her size this is a fairly good bet and keep in mind most rings can be sized by a professional jeweler*

I really don't have any secrets to figuring out someone's ring size other than perhaps swiping a ring they often wear (on the finger you plan on putting the new ring on), taking it to your local jeweler to have it sized, and then replacing it before they notice. And my best advice if you don't know their size? Just ask. People are funny, you may think you know what they want but if you asked you might be surprised at what they say. Communication is key to a happy relationship and thus a happy marriage, so start early and see what she/he says! I bet you'll find out a lot more than what their size is, and you'll be happy you did.

------------------WEDDING TIMELINE:

I strongly recommend ordering your wedding rings AT LEAST 3 months before your wedding date to ensure you have plenty of time with them in case they need re-sized or they get delayed during shipping.

It's usually best to bring your ring into a local jeweler who can size your ring exact to your finger and exactly to how you'd like it to fit. An experienced and proficient bench jeweler should be able to size most of my designs up or down a bit without much trouble.

If you can't find anyone able/willing to do it of course I can help! My base fee to re-size a ring is $25 + return shipping; it could be additional fees for more material. I'm a one woman show so your patience is very much appreciated.

Some designs aren't cut out for size adjustments, that's why it's always always always best to know the correct ring size before ordering. In some cases it's best to exchange for a different size. Convo me here, we'll figure it out!
I am happy to accommodate payment plans over the course of several months. Orders under $500 can be split into 2 payments, and orders above $500+ can be split into 3 payments or sometimes more depending on the final balance. Please contact me and I will arrange special listings for you and send you the links. Items must be paid for in full before I will ship the item to you.
I take great pride in each piece that I make, and I have built my entire business model around making work that is both beautiful and built to withstand the test of time. That being said, like any piece of fine jewelry, my work is not indestructible and requires special care. Enclosed in each package is a card that explains how to best care for your unique, handmade jewelry.

I strongly recommend placing the order for wedding rings 3 MONTHS (or more) in advance of your wedding to allow additional time for un-planned shipping delays or the need for re-sizing.

READY TO SHIP items may be returned to me within 7 days of delivery. Items must be in their original, unworn condition and sent in the same or similar packaging. Please contact me within 3 days of delivery.

MADE TO ORDER Items are completely handmade to your order preferences at the time of order and are considered personalized to you. I can offer an exchange or store credit for the full price of the item or a return minus a 25% processing fee. I must be contacted within 3 days of delivery of item, and package must be sent back within 7 days of delivery.

In most cases, yes. I can usually rush an order for an additional fee to put your order at the top of my order queue. I've found this is the fairest way to do this.

The fee amount is dependent upon several factors--if I have the materials on hand, how quickly I need to make it, how many orders I have in advance of yours, how much sleep I'm losing ;-) and where I need to send it in the world. This can range in fee anywhere from 5-150% of the actual price of the piece.

Definitely! If you are looking to alter one of my designs in a small way I can absolutely do that!

Common ways to customize my designs include things like:
-A different stone or a different sized stone (like a natural diamond in place of a moissanite, a moonstone instead of a labradorite, a 2 carat instead of a 1 carat, etc)
-A different metal (like all sterling silver or all 14k rose gold instead of two tone)
-A different setting (like a bezel setting instead of a prong setting and vice versa)
-A wider or narrower version (like a 3mm width rather than a 6.5mm width)
-A different finish (like satin rather than high polish)
-Add flush set diamonds in the shoulders of a ring

Yes! I am happy to source for you a natural or lab created diamond. Please let me know your budget and/or preferences and I can quote you a couple options. I have access to CanadaMark (conflict-free diamonds) and all diamonds come with a certification (like EGL or GIA, etc) so you know exactly what you're buying.

Since I build all my settings from scratch (I don't use molds) my designs can be made to fit a different sized stone than the one pictured.
