The Dryad mask was originally created for a production,"Once On This Island",that we recently crafted masks for. The main character turns into a tree at the end of the play. Naturally loving trees as much as we do we had to make another one!

This leather mask is hand scribed, sculpted, and meticulously painted using a dry brush technique. Although the design is repeated, due to it's hand made nature, no two masks are alike. Equipped with two nylon braided cord ties, this mask is made to be comfortably worn for long periods of time or proudly displayed on the wall.

I was exceptionally nervous to open the box that contained this mask... I wanted to resonate with it so badly. What if I didn't? I literally delayed opening it for hours. I ended up going for a walk in the rain, and had something of a tree-guided spiritual experience. I came home, knowing I was ready to face the outcome, one way or another. So, I opened the box and... I am speechless. I have never seen anything quite like it. It has an energy all of its own making. It is a masterwork of mask making art. I am simply astounded. Thank you.
