Description

The Five of Cups is about despair; being so caught up in what was lost that one forgets what one still has. The figure broods under a gloomy sky, their eyes fixed on the three broken cups before him, unable to see the two full cups by his side. Sadness and mourning are necessary phases of healing, and the rays of sunlight remind us that healing and happier times are ahead.

In a reading, this card suggests a time of mourning to honor the seeker's sadness so that it may be eventually released. As a totem, this image reminds the viewer to honor their own emotional low times - and to embrace the sunlight when the clouds pass.

This fine art piece (limited edition of 10) is printed on archival, semi-gloss photo paper; dimensions 9"x16" (13"x20" w/ white border.) This original design is a combination of photography, drawing and digital media; a re-imagining of the classic divination tool, the Tarot. The print is signed on the back and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
