Detailed sterling silver plated stamped brass dogwood flowers are suspended on filigree ball silver ear wires. The flowers are oxidized (antiqued) to show the detail of the flower. The 1/2" (15mm) flowers have curved petals and small beaded centers. The overall length of the earrings is 1 1/4" including the antiqued silver earwire. If you prefer leverback style just add a note at time of purchase. See photos.

According to Christian tradition, dogwood blossoms bear the scars of Jesus' crucifixion. The petals are tipped with blood-fringed nail indentations, the flower is cross-shaped, and the center represents the crown of thorns. This symbolism is to compensate for the dogwood being the wood of the cross on which Jesus died.
