Description

“Dance inspiration Cards” is a card game in which each card in an invitation for a dance.

The idea is to put on your favorite music, spread the cards, choose a dancing inspiration and then dance together. It is for everybody who loves dance and movement, and enjoys creating their own dance. I have drawn each illustrated card with care, using watercolors and digital media.
The cards are a fun activity for a family vacation and will make a unique gift for teachers and people who work with children.

The card games I make are for creating things together. The inspiration for making this game comes from a deep love for free dance, movement and improvisation and from the fun, creative and insightful hours of dancing with my children.

The box contains:
-----------------------
-29 illustrated cards
- 1 blank card
- Detailed instructions for multiple playing activities.

The cards were especially created to inspire dance improvisation, containing various images, including animals and natural elements as well as more abstract illustrations. The blank cards is for drawing your own illustration on or for use as a joker representing any image you choose.

The cards are durable and strong, printed on 300gr cardstock and laminated for extra protection. The size of each card is 4x6” (10x15cm). The box is made of recycled cardboard and its size is 6.8x4.8x0.6” (17x12x1.5cm).

Benefits:
-----------
The rich variety of images on the cards invites creativity and imagination to play, dance and try new movements.
As parents, dancing with your children is a fun way of communicating without words, expressing feelings and being together.
Dance and Drama teachers can use the cards for improvisation exercises.
Indoor games involving movement, dance and social interaction are a good way to let out energy.
Face to face communication, dance and movement are important in a time when so many daily activities are done sitting by the computer screen.

Ages:
-------
The cards are flexible in their use and can fit different age groups ranging from preschoolers to elementary school children to teenagers and adults. In different ages, the interpretation of the images, and the complexity of the dance created may differ. The game is fun for parents and children, for kids to play on their own, and for teachers.

About me:
-------------
I’m an illustrator and have an MA in cognitive psychology. My focus is combining these two fields in the games and illustrations I make.
Thanks for visiting,
Sari
