I 'painted' this piece in yarn with the delicious range of late-sun-drenched colors I experienced in Arizona, from the high plateaus down to the blacktop of that one stretch of road going endlessly into the distance.
This piece was woven in a technique that results in two raised-woven rows, each of which has a pocket-like opening on the front side of the piece only. These openings are reminiscent of the gaps you might find in the carved ridges of the Painted Desert. The piece is ready to be hung as you see it here or framed.
Size: 7.5 x 8"
If you would prefer the piece framed, this can be arranged as well.
It was crafted with love and nostalgia.
