Sadly as embroidery has taken its toll on my hands, neck and eyes I can no longer find it as easy to skein long thread cards! Although having ventured into another (simpler!) direction, I felt it would be letting down all those would-be embroiderers who want to learn to embroider properly so all bar my top best sellers are now in PDF Download form. The materials needed are very few and in most eager stitchers stash and you don't need the colours I suggest but can use your own! The up side is that here is no postage and Etsy makes downloading seamless and easy!.....

Pasture Poppy is a kit for the embroiderer who wants to learn more demanding techniques. This tutorial takes you through Silk Shading (Long & Short Stitch) with a friendly and practical approach which makes the technique very straight forward and will have you recreating beautiful shading in no time at all. My instructions are completely comprehensive with diagrams and written explanations, photographs and shading charts ; 18 pages in all to make sure you have the best help possible in completing a piece you can be really proud of and from which you will have gained many skills.PDF Download with 5 files.....

This kit is outstanding. It comes with the design printed on the fabric, plus a piece of backing fabric, all the threads you need nicely sorted, needles and a needle threader, a and wonderfully detailed instructions with photos and diagrams that are clear and easy to follow. I appreciate that Gee takes the extra time to discuss techniques and tips that aren't often found in kits. This makes what is really a more difficult kit easily accessible for newer embroiderers. She even includes a pamphlet on lacing, framing and finishing you embroidery. I used her instructions to frame something I had ready and they worked much better than my old technique. Additionally, in her Etsy shop, Gee states that it can take 2 weeks to receive a kit. I received mine in the US in less than a week. Plus, this design is absolutely gorgeous!
