Description

I originally designed this ring to go with my rose solitaires, but actually, I think it holds its own just fine. I feel like it has a very slight mid-century vibe going; I didn't plan it that way, I just started carving away and the design took shape as I went. Six bright little 1.5mm diamonds are bezel set around the band.

** Many more images of this ring here: http://blog.cheyenneweil.com/2014/03/thorny-eternity-band/ **

This ring is hand carved in wax using pointy tools and then cast using the lost-wax method. Each ring is a highly detailed work of art with a design that flows all the way around the ring, leaving no particular side "up," and has a delicious weighty feel.

This is a custom listing, priced for 1 ring in 14K gold including six 1.5mm F/VS fully cut round brilliant diamonds (guaranteed Kimberley Process certified/i.e., "conflict-free").

I can make this ring in 14K or 18K white, yellow, or rose gold, 14K or 18K palladium white gold, or platinum. Please send me a note for a quote in a different metal. A detailed description of the metals I work with is here: http://blog.cheyenneweil.com/f-a-q/#12

* Ring size: to order (Send me a note to double-check your size)
* Width of band: 2.5mm
* Thickness of band: 2.15-2.25mm

---- SHIPPING ----

* Custom pieces take around 1 month to make (I will let you know the timeline via email). If you have a pending wedding, let me know; I will be sure to get you your ring on time!
* I ship USPS, insured. Shipping price below is for an insured package in the US.
** YES - I DO SHIP INTERNATIONALLY! Please convo me for a quote to your country.

    I have thought for several days on how to write this review.I just am not good at writing them. So here goes.I am so glad I chose Cheyenne to make my ring.I put her through a lot with my changes and she was always kind and answered every email and there were a lot of emails!The ring is beautiful! The gold color is so warm and pretty and the roses and birds she designed is so much better than I had in mind.The gold weight is very substantial and a pleasant surprise.Cheyenne is not only a talented designer I believe she has been blessed with a special gift.Thank-you, I hope to be able to work with her in the future.

You will need to contact me ASAP and then return the item (at your expense) to me in the original packaging and in original condition. Really though, let's just not let this happen. Feel free to ask me all the questions you have, let me know your concerns. Shipping policies

If the item is a custom order, please allow at least ~4-6 weeks for me to make the piece (I can let you know a more accurate timeline via email when you order). If you have a wedding coming up, just let me know and I can make sure you get your rings in time :) (*Rush fee might apply--additional info below*)

I ship ready-to-wear items within three days of receipt of payment. Multiple items may be shipped together (simply calculate total insurance cost).

** SHIPPING TO A DIFFERENT ADDRESS **
Contact me if you have special shipping instructions.

** INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING **
I DO ship internationally; I just do not have it listed in my purchase section because of the wide variety of pricing and insurance depending upon where the item is shipped. Just convo me with your address and I'll give you a shipping quote. Very generally, it's around $40-50.

Otherwise, I ship USPS Priority or Express, insured. You can specify uninsured if you want to but please be aware that I cannot responsible for damage or loss by the postal company.

** UNINSURED SHIPPING PRICES **
* To US: $7
* To Canada: $10
* Everywhere else: $15

Of course, if you are located in Portland and would prefer to pick up your piece and save on shipping, you are welcome to do so and I'd love to meet you :)

** PACKAGING **
All pieces are sent out in ring boxes, which is then in a protective little box tied up with a satin ribbon. A gift card is enclosed stating exactly what your piece is, along with cleaning instructions. All this is in another box to protect the lot from the wilds of the Postal Services. A box in a box in a box. Yay!

Additional policies

** RUSH ORDERS **
I hate to have to do it but I get a lot of requests for rush orders and I'm finding it increasingly difficult to accommodate them with my current workload. Therefore, if you need to rush your order, I'll charge between $125-$175 additional for fully custom designed/carved orders and $75-$100 for the pieces listed in my Etsy shop. The range in price is because my workload can fluctuate quite a bit. Thank you for understanding!

** RING SIZING **
When ordering a ring to be made to size, please be absolutely sure you have the correct ring size. Go to a jewelry store and have them measure your finger using both a narrow measuring ring and a wide ring. This gives me a very good idea of the shape of your finger. Be sure to take into account how your fingers feel that day; i.e., the temperature at the time of sizing (your fingers can swell a little during warmer weather, shrink during cold dry weather--if you wear rings normally you probably have a good sense of whether you are having an average finger-size day). Many of the rings I make are not easily re-sized once finished due to the way the carvings go all the way around the ring so it is really important I have the right size when I make you a ring. Don't worry if you are between sizes; just let me know all details that seem pertinent and I'll make it to fit.

** SNEAKY RING SIZING HOW-TO!! **
Two options I can think of: Select a ring she wears on the SAME finger you wish to buy her a ring (or him--goes both ways :). You could either bring it into a jewelry shop to get the size, or you could buy this cheapy ring mandrel from amazon.com: http://tinyurl.com/7h2yorx (in case she doesn't often go without it or would notice if it were missing for any period). Slip the ring on the mandrel and note the size; just make sure it is a nice snug fit. Best is to also send me the mandrel to calibrate sizing on my end; there can be some variation in plastic mandrels.

Or, the more dramatic option (one of my clients successfully did this!): enlist the help of one of her friends to take her shopping and stop by a jewelry shop on the pretense that the friend wants to be sized for whatever reason. The friend then needs to convince your fiance-to-be to try on the sizers too "just because" and the friend can later tell you her size.

** SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS **
Any special requests regarding shipping or notes to be included when I send your piece, etc. should be made known to me using the screamingest bold ALL-CAPS red flashing font you can find. Basically, just make it obvious to me if you have any special requests; I'd hate to miss something critical in a "note to seller" or anything :)
