Description

Hi there! These are INSTRUCTIONS ONLY to MAKE YOUR OWN.

It was hard to find changing/morphing crochet cable sampler patterns, so I've designed this one. This pattern has been pattern tested by wonderful Ravelry user madisonsquared.

This original fully WRITTEN OUT eight-page pattern design & one-page chart in US crochet terms may not be distributed or sold as your own, but feel free to sell finished neckwarmers made from this pattern.

All steps are intricately detailed for beginners who have never done cables before, intermediate crocheters can skip over the details, & advanced crocheters can solely use the chart if desired.

skills: know how to ch (chain), sc (single crochet), fpDc & fpTc (front post Double crochet & front post Triple crochet; same as regular dc & tc except after the initial yarn over(s) you insert hook not into the top loops but in & around the post & out the front, pulling body of st (stitch) toward you, then continue with yarn over & pull through & rest of st as usual; if needed, YouTube search ‘front post double crochet’ & ‘front post triple crochet’ for helpful video demos)

hook: H/5.0mm for an adult size neckwarmer/cowl/scarf (or slip stitch ends together for infinity scarf)

yarn: four skeins Needle Crafters Comfort Collection Acrylic in color NC500P Slate Grey (each skein is 1.7 oz / 50 g & ~115 yd / 105 m; one skein produces 9” of this pattern & the finished neckwarmer is 29” long, for a total of four skeins of this yarn needed), or other worsted weight yarn

As a crocheter for over 20 years now & a former professional proofreader, you can crochet with the confidence that this pattern has been gone over with a fine-tooth comb.

Feel free to contact me with pattern-related questions, & I'll typically get back to you within 24 hours. Enjoy!

FAQs

Custom Order requests are accepted by shops that have a blue 'Custom Order' button enabled on their shop page, which I do not.

With few exceptions, Custom Orders are generally not accepted. The fun I have these days is primarily in pattern design itself.

There are many talented crocheters here on Etsy who would be interested in producing your Custom Order physical item for you--even from my pattern designs that you've purchased that you can send to them.

If it is a particularly different/interesting/unique Custom Order idea that I have not done before & that is NOT yet done well by others (for example the great mermaid tail blankets), I'll occasionally consider it.

When in doubt, feel free to ask!

Warmly,
Stace a.k.a. zonal
