This beautiful medal probably dates from the 1920's and came from France. On the front it shows the Blessed Virgin Mary in prayer before a pair of beautiful wings. The reverse shows a plane's propeller in front of an olive branch with the inscription "Notre Dame Des Ailes" (Our Lady of Wings).

The medal was cast in sterling silver from an antique medal in the Rosa Mystica Collection so it shows all the beauty and history of the original piece. It comes with a matching holy card in an organza gift bag, ready for gift-giving, and was made in the USA.
