Early 1900s Atlantic City Souvenir Tape Measure with Celluloid Photos of Beach Scenes

Description

Very sweet little souvenir from Atlantic City, NJ, almost sure it's circa 1910. Highly detailed photos of people out at the beach, a different one on each side with the caption "Beach Scene, Atlantic City, NJ" and "Boardwalk, Beach Scene, Atlantic City, NJ." A true artifact from the early days of "Boardwalk Empire."

The photos are processed with celluloid over tin. It has a cloth tape measure inside with a zipper handle on it and the spring mechanism still works perfectly over 100 years later. It's a bit strange because the numbers start at 29 3/4 inches and go up to 42 inches!

Dimensions:
1 3/4 inches diameter
