Zebras are such an obvious temptation to the printmaker, considering how to depict life in black and white. They are inherently so graphic in their very skin. Though they aren't striped any which way. This hand-pulled linoleum block print juxtaposes two varieties of zebra, Grevy's and Burchell's, back to back. The one on the left is known as Grevy's zebra and the one on the right is known as Burchell's zebra.

It is one of a first edition of only 6 prints, printed by hand, on lovely, delicate, white Japanese kozo (or mulberry) paper. The sheets are 14 inches wide and 8 inches high (35.6 cm by 20.3 cm).
