FOLKLORE
Sugilite is a rare, waxy, opaque, purple crystal. It is believed to be a very protective and nurturing stone, good for sensitive souls who find it difficult to ignore the hostility and negativity of others. It is also said to be beneficial for those who feel alienated and ‘out of place’. Sugilite is said to encourage positive thoughts, to release emotional turmoil, to promote self forgiveness and to encourage inspiration and feelings of confidence.

*** Please note that whilst my gemstones are genuine it is common practice to enhance stones by dying, heat treatment or sometimes very expensive stones will be mosaic stones or reconstituted where smaller pieces are placed in resin to create a larger piece making expensive stones available at a reasonable price. In my experience this does not affect the energy of the stone. ***
