Kentucky Derby Hat, Wide Brim Hat, handmade hat
This is handmade hat is sculpted from navy sinamay yardage and adorned with a cluster of white roses, feathers and a grosgrain ribbon. This hat has an unwired brim to allow it to be floppy. This hat is very light in weight.
This hat is handmade starting with raw materials. I hand block (shape) the hat materials over wooden molds to achieve the shape. I then carefully hand stitch the sweatband and wire into the hat. All trimmings are then sewn onto the hat. I don't use glue!
Please send your head size measurements for proper fit.
Don't worry if traditional store-bought hats don't fit, We custom make hats for both large and small heads.
Please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery. For hat emergencies please convo us with detail before purchasing.

How to Measure for a Custom Hat
First you will need a tape measure. Place the end of the measuring tape in the middle of your fore head about 1 inch above your eyebrows. Wrap the tape around your head ( make sure this is above your ears) . Slip one finger under the tape for ease. Take the measurement. Repeat twice for accuracy. The size will range from 20-25 inches.( 22 1/2 -23 inches is average, If a standard store bought hat fits you perfectly should be within this range.)
