Hand-thrown porcelain vase is approximately 4" high, and was painstakingly decorated using the sgraffito technique.

The entire surface was coated in my hand-made coral colored slip (slip is liquid clay), then the design was drawn free-hand, and the background carved away.

Fired to 1800 degrees F, then coated in a clear glaze and finally fired again to 2380 degrees F, my work is extremely durable, and will last a lifetime with proper care.

This would make an excellent Mother's Day gift, if I do say so myself. Or, heck, why not Father's Day, too? My dad loves this stuff! (and not just because he's my dad, I swear)
