12" x 24" Print of my Cape Hatteras Original Oil Painting.
It has been professionally printed on heavy weight museum quality paper.

*Frame not included

The 208 foot tall Cape Hatteras tower is the ultimate symbol of lighthouses. Not only is it the tallest lighthouse in the nation, it's enormous, it's majestic, it guards the "graveyard of the Atlantic," where the Labrador Current meets the Gulf Stream in the swirling, shipwreck-laden waters off Cape Hatteras.

It was built in 1803 with 1,250,000 bricks, weighing 6,250 tons. It is 196 feet from the base to the top brick then topped with an iron superstructure to encase the light. In the summer of 1999, as the ever-encroaching waters of the Atlantic Ocean threaten to destroy this stalwart structure, the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse was moved half a mile inland.

The lighthouse is open to the public and visitors are welcome to climb the 268 steps for a spectacular view of the national seashore.

I love this lighthouse and I'm sure you will love it too!
