Description

This vintage celluloid sea shell necklace or choker is aqua blue and white. The clear celluoid chain reversible necklace is accented with a fringe of dyed sea shells beads. It is a well constructed piece, which can be worn two ways, as both sides are decorated. There is a tiny white seed bead layered on side of each of the abalone shell and a tiny matching blue mother of pearl button on the other. The chain has a celluloid spiral ring closure. It is unsigned but it is similar in style to Miriam Haskell sea shell necklaces.

This measures approximately:
Length: 14 1/4 inches
Length of shells: ranges from 1 1 1/4 inches.

The necklace is in very good condition with very minimal surface wear/scratching to the beads. The metal pins which secure the beads and buttons to each other have tarnished in places. As these are real shells, there are natural flaws and irregularities as would be expected. It is a truly delightful piece.

We have many wonderful vintage finds in our shop so be sure to look--we are always willing to combine shipping when possible.
