Description

Vintage American Tourister blue train or vanity case. Very cool item, strong and in very good shape. Has dome marks and scuffs, but has held up quite well like the retro commercials portrayed. Now the inside needs some TLC, maybe a good cleaning or even a new fabric lining. Mirror is broken, so a new one could make this case something special. The outside looks great, the hardware works and the American Tourister logo looks brand new.

There is a monogram on the front: MRC

Measures about 8 1/2 inches tall, 13 inches wide and about 9 inches deep. Lovingly restore or repurpose for storage, shop display, planter, or something new altogether.

Unfortunately, refunds are not offered. Please read the item description carefully. I am always happy to answer any question or send additional photos prior to purchase. I strive to always answer your question quickly. I try to describe any notable flaw(s) to the best of my ability. However, almost every item I list has been previously used and at least 20 years old. It is safe to assume that these items are less than perfect which sometimes is their best quality.

If an item is damaged during shipping please contact me immediately. If you are able to photograph the damaged box, item and all contents of the package please do so. A claim can be filed with the designated carrier for reimbursement.

For USPS shipped items, the buyer or the person that can prove the item was damaged needs to file the claim with the insurance number provided by the shipper. USPS will follow up with both parties involved and possibly refund directly to the sender once the person with the damaged product turns it in for the claim investigation. Some times the carrier determines that the receiver caused the damage or that improper packaging is to blame so not refund is made through the carrier even when insurance was purchased.

Once they leave my hands I have no control over how each item is treated. Each package is shipped with insurance and tracking included in the price of shipping. As soon as the item is shipped I will send you a follow-up email with tracking information.

Please be aware that if your item is delivered by UPS or FedEx it is at the discretion of the driver to leave a package on your doorstep. After three attempts, the item will be returned to me. If you are not at home during day time hours, you may want to consider having your item shipped to your place of business.

Additional policies

Due to the vintage or antique nature of some items, there may be flaws and imperfections such as fading or chipping. Because the items in my shop are vintage, second hand and "found", rarely are these items in perfect condition. I try to be as honest as I can when describing each item. I will try to provide photos of major flaws so buyer can see prior to buying. The description I present to you is often reported from the original owner of the piece or antique dealer. I am not an expert, but I will do my best to be honest with my items.

My home is a smoke free environment, on occasion an item is purchased from a home with a smoker, but is stored at my location. I do have a dog, in my home. A black Belgian Sheepdog named Madison.
