Bagh-Chal, meaning "Change of Tigers" or "Moving Tigers" is a strategic, two-player game that originated in Nepal.

The game is asymmetric in that one player controls four tigers and the other player controls up to 20 goats. The tigers "hunt" the goats while the goats attempt to block the tigers' movements.

The game is played on a five by five point grid, like Alquerque. Game pieces are positioned at the intersection of the lines and lines connect directions of valid movement between these points.

The game play takes place in two phases. In the first phase the goats are placed on the board while the tigers are moved. In the second phase both the tigers and the goats are moved. For the tigers, the objective is to "capture" five goats to win. The goats win by blocking all the tigers' legal moves.

Specifications

Each board is made of 11-ply premium ¾" (1.895 cm) thick Birch plywood for long-term durability. Since wood is a natural product, each board has a unique grain making it one-of-a-kind. The boards are sold as stained. The stained boards are satin clear-coated for maximum protection and easy cleaning. Each game comes with one set of five "Tigers" and 22 "Goats" as well as detailed rules and how-to-play instructions booklet. The color of game pieces are subject to availability.
