Description

Authentic Silk Kimono Japanese Haori Jacket Vintage 1970's Cherry Pink Shibori Tie Dying Wavy Tsunami Pattern Fabric Casual Evening Wear Clothing Japan. Genuine authentic vintage Japanese haori jacket from the 1970's era. Gorgeous and unique 100% silk fabric features the ancient technique called Shibori. This can be likened to tie dying but in a much more precise way. The silk fabric has a Dotted Swiss pattern made by the tie dyeing technique. This also gives the fabric a texture from the small individual areas that have been tied to create the "Dots". The silk has a crepe like texture. A wavy line called a tsunami snakes it's way across the jacket. Notice the care and skill taken to match the line around the jacket. The inside of the jacket and sleeves are lined in the same beautiful Shibori fabric so that no matter how you move in the jacket the beautiful fabric shows. The upper interior of the body of the jacket is also lined in a lovely smooth pastel silk. The haori has a good weight to it that allows the jacket to hang well. The jacket measures 51.9" from sleeve end to sleeve end, 32.2" from top to bottom. Wear this out as a lightweight jacket with evening wear or to that special restaurant. Wear at home to add a touch of elegance to your life. Excellent condition, quality item.
