Description

From an ancient Scottish Oak tree which stood overlooking the river Tay in Highland Perthshire comes this beautiful and natural wooden ring.

The weather plays a big role up here in the way it moulds and affects our landscape and the flora and fauna which struggle to survive in our harsh climate. The trees especially have a unique character not found elsewhere in the UK. They are often small and stunted and grow in the most precarious of places, resulting in wood with unique and striking patterns, rich in colour and above all incredibly strong.
Scottish oak has long been associated with strength and longevity and this wooden ring undoubtedly reflects these essential characteristics.

The colour of these wooden rings will vary slightly from deep golden to light golden, even within the same ring.
The rings are available in various widths from 6mm to 10mm wide and are protected with a hardwearing waterproof resin.

Complete with presentation box

Free personalised Inscription can be laser engraved on the inside of the ring - we recommend a name, date or initials - some small symbols such as a heart can also be applied. Please give details in message to seller at checkout, or in a separate conversation message.

A beautiful and unique piece of Scotland perfect as a wedding or engagement ring

Made to all UK and US ring sizes - Please select from 'Ring Size' option box

Handcrafted in 1-3 working days

Additional policies

Sizing of Rings
Please have your ring measured carefully by a professional jeweller (two sizings if possible) before you place your order. Our rings are made to internationally recognised UK and US sizes.

Please contact us if you would like one of our ring sizing gauges, which we usually find to be accurate.

If your finished ring is not quite the desired fit, we can usually adjust the size slightly to suit. We carry out this work free of charge and would just ask you to bear the cost of postage to and from the workshop.

However, please note that if the new size required is more than half a UK size smaller than the original size, or more than 1 UK size larger, the ring will usually have to be re-made from scratch. In this instance we may ask for a contribution to the cost of making a new ring, to cover our time.

WOODEN RING CARE INSTRUCTIONS
It is important to remember the wooden rings are not as strong as metal ones. However with care they can give pleasure for many years or indeed a lifetime.
Our rings are finished with 15 coats of clear protective waterproof varnish, however we advise that you remove your wooden ring for hand-washing, showering, swimming etc. We also recommend that they are removed whilst undertaking manual tasks, or playing sports, to minimise the risk of sudden shock or impact.
Many hours of handcrafting go into each of our wooden rings - we consider them to be treasured items and should be treated as such.
We offer a free lifetime re-finishing service for your new ring (customer to cover cost of postage to and from the workshop including any applicable customs charges) and all our wooden rings carry a one year warranty against breakage, as long as the 'care instructions' have been adhered to. Each ring is tested for strength before dispatch and evidence of poor care may invalidate your one year warranty.
We do require the original ring to be returned to our workshop for inspection, prior to work commencing on a replacement ring. All customs and inmport charges are the responsibility of the buyer when returning items to the UK.
