Description

When I first pulled this from my mother-in-law's jewelry box I thought it was maybe pewter so I put it back to look first at all the shiny baubles! As my husband and I looked closer we were surprised to see that it was stamped "Sterling" on the back. Out came the silver polish and what emerged was this beautiful old-time brooch! Even our teenage granddaughter thought it worthy of current wear! Probably made in about the 1930s or 1940s, this is such a pretty piece of jewelry! The pin clasp is in working order, the design is very delicate and the rose is quite nice. The leaves have almost a sawtooth edge to them. Very lovely!
