Description

This ocean-inspired bracelet is an elegant combo of blue glass Czech beads, white quartz, Swarovski crystals, and sterling silver, accented with a decorative seashell charm. Its design was based on my own memory of a particularly beautiful day by the sea in southern Rhode Island, with a rising tide along the shore and an intense blue sky above made all the prettier by a small "fleet" of bright white clouds. The scene was like something out of a dream, which is why I think of this bracelet as "Ocean Dreams." It is a delicate-looking, carefully handmade one-of-a-kind piece for anyone who loves the sea or simply finds blue, white, and silver a lovely color combination.

The Czech glass beads used here are rectangular in shape, with a blue transparency enriched by flowing opaque white swirls. The central quartz beads in the bracelet are rondelle shaped and white with a natural suggestion of gray. To bring extra hints of reflective light to them, the front rondelles are individually bordered with sterling silver petaled bead caps and small sterling rounds (2mm). Also included are Swarovski "Caribbean Blue Opal" bicones (6mm), smaller quartz rounds (4mm), and a TierraCast (made in the USA) silver-on-pewter twisted seashell charm.

The bracelet is designed with a trio of blue glass beads at the front, separated by the individual quartz rondelles with their sterling caps and bordering silver beads. Then, on both sides of the bracelet strand is a bead set of three quartz rondelles between a split pair of the blue Swarovski bicone crystals. At either end of this quartz trio is a single bead cap. Completing the beaded portion of the strand is another small silver round and two of the smaller quartz beads.

The bracelet is finished off with sterling silver twist crimps between sterling daisy spacers and silver-filled wire guards. The crimps hold secure the bracelet's high-quality 49-strand beading wire, and the guards help to protect the wire from abrasion. All these elements were made in the USA.

The clasp is a sterling silver three-ring toggle, which provides some adjustability in size. I've decorated its end ring with three dangles: the shell charm, a small quartz and silver bead combo, and another blue glass rectangle with a small quartz bead at the top and a larger (3mm) silver bead at the bottom. The jumpring, wires, and silver beads used for the dangles are all sterling.

The basic length of the bracelet is roughly 6.5 inches. The clasp adds about an inch to that. Please see my measurement photo of the bracelet and toggle clasp with a ruler, illustrating the length of each.

This special bracelet was handmade with care and with the best of wishes for its destined wearer. It comes ready for gift giving to someone special who loves the sea - perhaps yourself!

FAQs

I like to ship quickly, usually 1 or 2 days after payment unless it's a weekend or holiday. Please ensure your shipping address is current.

U.S. ORDERS: I ship USPS First Class w/ Tracking. If you want to purchase insurance or upgrade, please contact me.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: Due to the new European GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations), I am shipping USPS 1st Class International to Australia only. When my GDPR policies are written, I will resume shipping to select EU countries. Customers are responsible for customs fees, tariffs, and/or any surcharges from their country's postal service.

Please note: I do not ship necklaces internationally.

If you are from outside the EU, please contact me and inquire whether I can ship to you.
I sincerely want you to be happy with your purchase.

Returns are accepted if you contact me within 7 days after delivery to you. I expect to receive the item no later than 2 weeks after delivery. If this timeframe is problematic for you, contact me before buying. Also, I do allow extensions for special holidays such as Christmas and Valentine's Day, as some people buy early, me included!

For All Items: I will refund for the purchase price minus original shipping cost.

You are responsible for return shipping with tracking (U.S.). Items should be in their original condition, with the original wrapping and packing materials. Extra items, like jewelry cards, gift bags, boxes, freebies, should be included.
Non-receipt: I will do my very best to help you if items go astray. Tracking provides information on the item's routing to its destination, and I always ship directly from the post office rather than relying on postal pick-up. Again, please be sure that your shipping address is CURRENT.

Damage: I pack orders well to minimize any problem in this area. However, if your purchase arrives damaged, contact me immediately. I will do my very best to help.
I accept PayPal and Etsy Payments. Please be aware that even if you are not a member of PayPal, you can securely use it to pay for your purchase with a major credit card.

Payment must be made within 24 hours of purchase or the order will be cancelled.

To Rhode Islanders: Sorry to say, but by law I must apply 7% sales tax to your purchase and pass it on to "the governor."
Yes, I am always happy to accept a custom order! Whether or not I require a deposit, full amount, or neither will depend on the nature of the order. I have done a number of such orders elsewhere with no deposit or purchase required, as I knew I could simply add those items to my inventory if the customer decided not to purchase. (Customers always did purchase them, though.) I always show photos of custom orders to the customer.
If you are buying a gift for someone and have used that person's address for shipping, please let me know at the time of ordering - I will be happy to include a complimentary notecard in which is written whatever message you would like to send.

Of course, I am always happy to send to that person's address. Just please make sure it is CURRENT. Thank you!
