Description

Kingfisher cross stitch PDF pattern.

This is a downloadable cross stitch pattern of a stunning Kingfisher. The Kingfisher sits on a branch above the river and has beautifully shaded orange and turquoise plumage. The surrounding soft turquoise blue border adds extra detail to this lovely design!

The design is stitched using Anchor Stranded Cotton.

The design first appeared in issue 72 of 'Cross Stitch Gold' magazine and was part of a set of 4 designs which feature colourful birds, all enclosed in a floral border. The floral border suggests a china plate, decorated with roses and some metallic gold stitching.

The design is 138 stitches wide x 138 stitches high. In the magazine it was stitched on 28 count evenweave. (You could use 14 aida if you prefer).

If stitched on this count of fabric the finished stitching measures approx. 25.5cm x 25.5cm (10" x 10") and fits nicely in a 28cm x 28cm frame (11" x 11").

The chart is saved at a large scale, spread out over 6 pages (plus the colour key), to make it easy to stitch from. It's in full colour, with black symbols overlaid.

Please note: this pattern contains some fractional stitches, so is probably more suited to an intermediate/ experienced stitcher than a beginner.

Returns & exchanges

The PDF file is a file that can be downloaded after purchasing it from me. It contains a colour chart with the thread colour key, so that you can stitch up the design for yourself.

Please be aware that when you are purchasing a PDF cross stitch pattern from me you are buying a DIGITAL FILE and NOT a FINISHED PIECE OF STITCHING! (Any stitching shown in the PDF pattern listings are used to show you how the designs will look when stitched up).

If you are purchasing a digital file from me I'm sorry that I'm unable to offer refunds or exchanges on these.

If you ask for a refund because you were expecting to receive a stitched piece of work I'm afraid I won't offer a refund - as it clearly stated on my shop that you are purchasing a DIGITAL FILE.
