Description

The Mimas Necklace. The sixth in our Meteorite series, this necklace contains genuine pieces of the Campo del Cielo meteorite! Wear a shooting star that fell to Earth thousands of years ago around your neck. Each piece is truly one of a kind, and this is a limited edition design.

DETAILS:
-- A stainless steel bezel setting is filled with gorgeous fragments of the Campo del Cielo meteorite. All of the meteorite pieces are hand picked by myself, and fitted into each bezel, which sits atop a brushed finish stainless steel piece in a crescent moon shape.
-- Your pendant hangs on a 16" or 18" stainless steel chain (your choice at checkout), and includes my special Diamonds and Coal stainless steel tag. It's my way of signing my handmade work and adding another special touch to your jewelry piece. It is my promise that you are getting a one of a kind Diamonds and Coal original!
-- Stainless steel means no tarnishing EVER!
-- Just under 1" wide and 1/2" tall, this dainty necklace is perfect for layering, or wearing all by itself.
-- Your necklace comes with a printed certificate of authenticity, and a printout of the history of the Campo del Cielo meteorite. It is packaged in a little black box - perfect for gift giving or storing your special keepsake.

ABOUT THE CAMPO DEL CIELO METEORITE:
The Campo Del Cielo iron meteorites were discovered in 1571 about 500 miles northwest of Buenos Aries, Argentina. Testing proved the 'rocks' to be meteorites, something that had been claimed by the local inhabitants. It is estimated that the meteorites fell 4,000 - 6,000 years ago at Campo del Cielo (meaning "field of sky" or "heaven) in Gran Chaco, Gualambia. Your meteorite fragments are made up iron, nickel, and many different scarce minerals, such as kamacite, taenite, plessite, triolite, graphite, and silicates.

Item is made to order and each piece is one of a kind. I hand pick each meteorite fragment myself, before making your special necklace. You will receive a pendant similar to the one pictured above.

While this piece is water resistant, please refrain from getting necklace soaking wet. Do not wear in the shower, or while swimming.

Every piece in the Diamonds and Coal collection is handmade with love in our Asheville, NC studio- this means that when you pick a piece from Diamonds and Coal you are getting a one of a kind original - No two items will ever be the same!

I am absolutely in LOVE with this ring. I thought it was really pretty online, but when it came in I found it to be even more beautiful in person. Despite its larger style, it is quite light and comfortable. In addition, Erin, the shop owner is extremely nice. I contacted her with a couple of questions and she was quick to respond. I will definitely be purchasing from this shop again. My overall experience has been very pleasant. Thank you!!
