All BeeMaiden soaps are made with skin-loving vegetable oils and fats. A few contain goatsmilk which is an ancient beauty treatment. It is said that Cleopatra retained her legendary beauty by bathing in milk.

All BeeMaiden soaps are scented with high quality fragrance and essential oils. I strive to use essential oils whenever possible but certain lovely scents just are not available in essence form, and in that case I use skin-safe, high quality fragrances.

I also use a variety of coloring mediums. You might see anything from paprika and poppyseeds from the spice cabinet, to clays and plant material from outside, to mica and pigments (which are lab - creations of naturally occurring minerals without their naturally occurring nasty heavy metals).

After each batch is mixed and hardened, I hand-cut the bars and set them to cure for a full 6 weeks. This ensures that your soap will be gentle and long-lasting.

Why handmade soap?
First, my soap is free of detergents which strip your skin of its natural oils.
Secondly, handmade soap has not had its naturally occurring glycerin removed. This glycerin is a humectant which attracts moisture to your skin.
Lastly, I superfat my soaps by 5-8%. This means that there is a extra 5-8% of the total oil amount that didn't get turned into soap - it's still hanging out inside the bar. As a result, you may notice after you dry off that your skin will feel extra soft and moisturized because of this quality.

My goal is a lovely scented soap that is moisturizing, gentle, long-lasting, and has lots of lather. You deserve that luxury
